Human Resources Assistant - Req. #AW 1050

We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources. We are looking for an HR assistant to handle a variety of personnel-related administrative duties. Your role is to act as the liaison between the Director of HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries. You will also support our daily HR activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes and relevant documents. This position is part-time, 30-32 hours per week, benefits eligible.

An ideal candidate for the Human Resources Assistant position holds an academic HR background. Familiarity with our industry is also an advantage. For this role, you should be able to work autonomously and assist in more complex HR duties, like posting job ads, coordinating interviews and contacting candidates and assist in the recruiting life cycle as assigned (e.g. onboarding process for new hires and candidate sourcing.)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts
  • Maintain personnel records, in compliance with HR regulations
  • Assist with provider credentialing paperwork and process
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and new hire benefits process
  • Review and update HR information records
  • Enforce company policies, rules and regulations
  • Maintain company OSHA log
  • Communicate all relevant information to employees and job applicants

‚ÄčQualifications:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources
  • Previous experience in a Healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • Experience in administration of HR programs.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
